Tremzac Wood Shaving Machine

TREMZAC Equipments Inc. manufactures and distributes portable Wood Shaving Machines around the world. Powered by agricultural tractor PTO, diesel engine or electric motors, TREMZAC Wood Shaving Machines produce fine, medium or coarse wood shavings from 4 ft to 8 ft long logs. A conveyor belt brings the shavings to the end of the machine where an optional blower may be added. These machines may be stationary or trailer mounted. Stationary electric powered versions can produce up to 3,000 cubic feet per hour.

The Wood Shavings Machine was originally designed for the farmer or rancher to produce their own animal bedding from low value wood on their own land. As the forest products industry has slowed down, the fuel and animal bedding industry has been forced to seek an alternative supply for their feedstock. Often this is hog fuel that is derived from logging waste. The logging waste is ground into hog fuel which is often re ground before it is fine enough to be fed into the hammer mills in the pellet plant (this is a very expensive process).

Shavings are a preferred feedstock for pellet mills because they can be fed directly into the plant, break up readily and shavings are easy to dry (if needed). A high volume, stationary electric powered Wood Shavings Machine likes logs up to 40" dia. and 8' long. The infrastructure is in place to transport these logs to the Wood Shavings Machine efficiently (logging trucks). These low value logs are usually left behind. The Wood Shavings Machine will also process slabs but the pellet mill may not like the high percentage of bark so this product may go directly to fuel or for animal bedding.
