In order to understand the benefits of the Satbl-POWER system I have come up with the following analogy. It might make sense of the system for folks like me who don't have an intimate knowledge of electricity. For those who do; I apologise.
Electricity is a little bit abstract for most of us so in this analogy I have used water. This is because I can relate to water pressure and volume better than volts and amps.
I can also relate to the changes in pressure when someone turns on a tap when I am having a shower and the short sharp spike in pressure that can occur when the tap is suddenly turned off. These pressure variations can be in the supply line coming into our home (usually dampened by a pressure regulator in the supply line) or in the home (as in this example).
In our electrical supply there isn't usually a pressure regulator to dampen the spikes in the electrical supply (dirty power) so everything electrical in the home or facility feels the spikes and corresponding under-voltage hundreds of thousands of times per hour.
The Stabl-POWER PRIMARY Transient Voltage Surge Suppressor (TVSS) is installed adjacent to the electricity meter and acts like a pressure relief valve. It works so quickly that even the electrical meter doesn't register the spike.
The Stabl-POWER SECONDARY TVSS (installed at all electrical panels) cleans up dirty power generated within a system. It often happens that when dirty power affects one electrical component the reaction of that component to the dirty power affects another electrical component. The reaction of the second component to the first component then affects the first component. This can set up a harmonic situation that will probably cause some sort of malfunction. The SECONDARY unit will prevent this situation.
